The Provincal governement offers a Bursary through the Department of Education and Department of Development and Technology. The Autism Society of PEI is an Registrated Organization in the program.
Island Students in grades 11 and 12, who plan to attend a post-secondary institution, are eligible for a Community Service Bursary. Students may begin volunteering as soon as they are promoted to grade 11. The bursary is calculated at a rate of $5 per hour. Students are required to volunteer a minimum of 30 hours or up to a maximum of 100 hours. (100 hours x $5 = $500 bursary) |
The Family Training Subsidy Program helps families affected by Autism offset expenses in order to attend workshops or conferences. Treatments for Autism are constantly evolving and it is important to have access to up to date training opportunities. This program has a limited amount of funds each year and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.
